Still celebrating my son’s 18th birthday (think this may have been his 3rd b-day dinner!), he was in the mood for a good steak. We decided to take him to a restaurant called KC Prime which is a steak house located in Warrington, PA. I’ve been to a fair share of steakhouses, some very good and others overrated and overpriced so I am always looking for a new steakhouse. I don’t eat steak a lot but when I do I am extremely picky!
KC had a nice relaxing atmosphere and they were able to accommodate our party of 8. One drawback is that the menu does not list any of their food items as GF nor do they specify that items can be made GF. Our waitress was helpful though. My mom also being GF was interested in getting the Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna as her entree and asked the waitress if that could be made gluten free. They were able to make it GF without using the sweet soy sauce since they did not have any GF soy sauce available. As a table we started with their one special of the night which was a chilled seafood tower that included oysters, scallops, crab-meat, shrimp, and lobster. It was fantastic! Everything was so fresh! Needless to say there was nothing left and everyone enjoyed it. As my entree I ordered the Filet Mignon which came with sweet potato mash and a peppercorn sauce (sorry I don’t have a picture of the steak to post). The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing, I didn’t even need to use the sauce it came with and the sweet potatoes were also full of flavor. My mom unfortunately, was not satisfied with her Ahi Tuna, she felt it didn’t have enough flavor and wasn’t cooked to her liking, but she did enjoy the crispy rice cake and avocado. All in all I think it was a good experience and everyone enjoyed themselves.
